i am craving this place. big time.
the most amazing brazilian pot pies...
in the words of b, delish!!!
located in the heart of downtown; one of my favorite places in the world now, all thanks to b.
that's how i spent much of my day today, all thanks again to b.
today's epic downtown adventure with her definitely made me want to go back more.
reminds me of how so full of life and culture this city has
and we've only hit up one part of the city! there's so much more yet to do... to eat!! hahah
honestly it's incredible how many food places we absolutely need to hit up in downtown;
there's no such thing as a diet when that girl and i are together hahah!
for today we limited ourselves to a few old faves
infusion cafe for chai lattes and one of the most spectacular cheesecakes i think i have ever had in my life... scrum-diddly-umcious! the cafe definitely deserves a repeat soon. it was my first time, b's a "regular" at this point and is all up on the counter making friends with the co-owner and taking photos with him. it's a laid-back place, and im not gonna lie i absolutely love it already. just one hour there and im hooked!
hanaichimonme for some nostalgia (for me; for b it was a "de-flowering") and the best damn ramen noodles i've had in what seems like ages and ages. my mom, sister, and i used to frequent this place quite a bit while i was growing up and just taking one bite of that little clump of yellow, stringy ramen brought such happiness... and it was really awesome that b was all into it, being so curious and so adventurous about it! it's honestly one of my pet peeves to have to eat with a ridiculously picky eater; i mean, come on, it's food, you're not going to die if you dont like it, get over yourself!! and every time you try something new, it's a completely new experience you will most likely never forget. yeah, so i love food
bite me
so afterwards, we wandered around the shopping plaza and the little grocery store that was once-upon-a-time a mistuwa, but i think is slowly converting into a korean supermarket... interesting, considering the location haha....  then we parked around r23 (a MUST for next time! best sushi bar/art gallery) amidst the most amazing neighborhood ever and stumbled upon this super cute vintage store (forgot its name... :() where we came across a ton of cute home made things that i swear screamed spo; makes me wonder how that girl is, not liking the whole MIA status. nuh huh. not one bit.
then of course a trip to downtown would be nothing without a walk to our imagawayaki spot just one block from our other fave, yogurtland. ohh imagawayaki... love love love it and that place, just gotta make sure to keep cash handy at all times; eff prking!

and now, my day will come to a close in my room,
where i will be suffering writing this 14 page paper for history.
oh, what an exciting  friday night it's going to be...
...thank goodness for blogs :)
xo
